From secondary school I have had a keen interest in Creative Media. I chose to study Media Studies at A-levels and since then have used media in my teaching profession effectively. I have also created many short promo videos for organisations and institutes that provide adult courses.
Educational Institute Promos/Trailers
Whilst working for the school and educational institute, Avicenna Academy I directed and edited many promos, trailers and videos to advertise the opening of the new academy, adult courses and events that were run by the institute. I used a range of softwares to edit and create these videos, such as "Sony Vegas Movie studio Platinum", "Adobe Photoshop" and "Adobe After Affects".
Avicenna Academy School Promo.
This was a marketing project in which I was given the brief to advertise an independant faith school for the community of sheffield.
School Play Promo.
This was a promo made to advertise the schools "Spring Blossom Event", which is the school's annual play in which pupils perform for parents, staff and the community of Sheffield
Classical Text studies - Promo
This short promo was made to market an adult course that teaches a classical text of narrations and sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). The promo had to be short and cultured to attract the target audience.
Social Event Promo
This is a short promo to promote and advertise a monthly social event with a British Muslim Scholar allowing the community to ask questions and socialise with one another. The promo was made to target a social, adult audience.
Documentary Trailer/Promo
This short trailer/promo was directed and edited by myself. It is a promo advertising a documentary that is to be released in the near future. The documentary is following a journey through Europe taken by one of Britains leading Muslim Scholar and Herbalist.
Adult Spiritual Course Promo
A marketing promo made for an institute that provides short courses to raise awareness and educate the wider community. The promo was made to intrigue the audience and attract them to enrol on the program.
Spiritual Retreat Promo
A short promo edited, filmed and directed by myself to promote a spiritual and educational 3 day retreat.
Avicenna Herbal Medicine Course Promo.
This was a marketing project to advertise a Herbal Medicine adult course taught online and in person.
Avicenna Grand Opening Promo
This was a short promo advertising the grand opening of the new academy in 2013. It was a promotional video to attract parents and locals to buy tickets for the grand opening event and at the same time promote the school.
Opening Title Sequence for Educational Institute
This opening title sequence was created using Cinema 4D, which is a 3D animation package. Thereafter it was transferred into Sony Veagas Movie Studio and edited to be placed at the beginning of the video.
A - Level Media Studies Project
I studied A-level Media Studies at Hall Cross Sixth Form college in 2005-2007, in which I was given the brief to produce a music video for a specific genre. Using "Pinnacle Studio" (Media Editing software) I directed, story boarded and edited the following project. Making use of local actors, locations and props I gave a more realistic approach to the music video of rap/hiphop.
